Josh built ISOK9 around the kind of dog training he believes actually matters once the session is over. His approach is grounded in reading the dog clearly, understanding the owner’s goals, and building a plan that fits the situation instead of forcing every dog into the same system.
The work is centered on communication, structure, consistency, and follow through. Whether the need is obedience, behavior work, or a stronger training foundation, the goal is to create progress that makes sense in everyday life and can be carried forward by the owner.
Josh started his dog training journey in May 2020 with his personal dog, Venom at 11 weeks old whom he rescued. Venom taught Josh more than he knew before with his dog walking and pet sitting career of 20 years.
Through shadowing from top trainers to building agility courses and teaching Venom how to ride a skateboard he grew to establish Venom as a sport and protection dog. Achieving a Protection Dog Certificate (PDC) in the dog sport of Protection Sport Association (PSA) after building his career in the French Ring Sport Circuit.
Highlights include agility and obedience demo’s with the Girl Scouts of America to displaying what a true bond is with Venom.
Josh added to his dog training journey in 2022 with Vega, a rare black Belgium Malinois from South Bay Malinois based out of Compton, CA.
Vega has proven to be the ultimate demo dog for ISOK9. Vega and Venom are individually trained but have also built a strong bond over the past years.
